The Christian Faith & Counseling emphasis at MNU is designed to enhance your ability to integrate faith into the counseling profession. For students whose passion for counseling is geared toward a desire to work from a Christian counseling worldview, this counseling emphasis area equips students with the additional knowledge and skills to better serve clients who desire a faith-based approach to therapy. This emphasis area can set students apart who want to work in a faith-based community setting or with faith-based clients.
The 5-credit-hour emphasis is designed to be taken with any of the three Master of Arts in Counseling tracks: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling or Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. This means anyone who is admitted can opt to add this emphasis area. Keep in mind that the additional 5-credit emphasis is financial aid eligible.
